When will I ever learn?

that it is hopeless for me to try to blog while the weekids are awake?

Look!

Just look at what Ben did while I was writing my meme this morning...

Silly me, I thought he was watching TV.

Three walls of my living room, just COVERED with orange scribbling.

Thank goodness for Crayola Washables.

***************
Note: When The Man came into the room and was treated to a display of what Ben did he said "Why aren't you trying to clean it off?"

"Oh." I said, "Well I had to post it on the blog first."

Anyone else see the irony?

Wow. Hope it all comes off...

(And I love that you had to take pictures and blog about it before you could clean it up!)

ha ha ha ha ha of COURSE you had to blog it first.

i am so lucky MQ NEVER did that. i'm not sure how I managed to avoid it, but I think that at 5years old now I'm safe. I THINK (knocking on wood, lighting a candle, etc, etc...)

If you had cleaned it and THEN blogged it, you'd be leaving yourself open for it to happen AGAIN. Only makes sense to blog it first, right?

Oh my gosh! Did you get it off? Note to self: when the boys get older, do NOT let them find the stash of crayons while blogging on a rainy day! Could you imagine the damage if TWO were doing that? AHHHHHH!!!! I'll have nightmares tonight!

Been there, done that...like twice. Not fun. And our crayons at the time were not the washable kind. I just stuck a bookshelf in front of the "art."

I was worried because we have flat paint in that room, but it all came right off the walls, the sofa, the caller ID box, but NOT the lampshade. :( Still, kudos to Crayola.

Well, I am pleased to read your follow up comment because just looking at those crayon colored walls was making me more than a little anxious. I think I started to hyperventilate a little. Not that I am a neat freak, but, well... kind of. It's just crayon all over my walls... oh dear.

I love that you had to take a picture of it thought. I just love you for that.

very contemporary. well, you could fill out an application for him to be a new decorator on HGTV. he might be able to make you guys some big bucks and then you could post on worst mama for the child labor category!

p.s.-maybe now's not the time to read him "harold and the purple crayon"

I'm glad it came off! Sorry you had to spend part of a day removing such a masterpiece, though. Have you thought of taping Ben to a chair while you blog? Big strips of velcro could also work... :)

Oh, that is rough. You've gotta admire his fortitude, continuing on from one wall to another like that. Glad most of it came off.
