"And I can see Russia from my house!"

For the most part I have a no-politics-on-this-blog policy here at Joy in Chaos. But, for the record, I am still not sure what side of the fence I fall on in the Sarah Palin debate.

I do, however, feel strongly that Tina Fey rocks.

I watched this last night and nearly woke up the kids from laughing so hard. I love all things Tina Fey.

And in this, you are not mistaken.

"I probably should have wanted it more." Oh, yeah. As for Sarah Palin's political aptitude, I find I can't bring myself to even consider voting for her. The high school in my town has more students than the whole of Wasilla, AK...and my town? Is just shy of beating the entire state of Alaska in population. For NJ, I live in a pretty rural area and there's no way I'd stick any of our politicians - great as they are for our backwater - in the White House. There's just no way they can be prepared.

Very funny!!

I don't know if you ever read Scot McKnight's blog Jesus Creed, but he has been doing some very clean, civil analysis of the candidates in light of his Christian faith. He is always eminently respectful and makes the same point I did that faith should always trump politics. I also love his point that neither candidate is going to usher in the Kingdom of God, nor will either candidate be responsible for the apocalypse- in spite of what the fanatics on either side would have you believe. His quote by Peter Kreeft at the end of today's post is fantastic. It's worth checking out. www.jesuscreed.org
