Uh Oh.

So you know that feeling? Where you have just had a long phone conversation with your sister-in-law and you suddenly realize that no one has been hanging on you, or screaming in the background. In fact, you can hear your children giggling happily, in their bedroom....with the door closed. And you jump up suddenly because you know...You know they couldn't possibly have been happy for that long unless they have destroyed something. So you take a deep breath, and you open the door...

and every stitch of clothing your son owns, along with two piles you have just sorted for charity/consignment are now all over the floor. And you thank God for moments like this...

just hours before. Because without them, they may both be dead, or sold to the highest bidder.
And then you take pictures and just two hours in to your computer ban, you run and post them on your blog.
I am so weak.

That's the shortest hiatus I ever did see!

You make me laugh, joy.

Ahhh, beautiful little heathens. ;) They look so adorable sitting guiltily there amidst the clothes.

they sorta seem innocent, except something in their cute little eyes says "here she comes!"

Been there and my kids have so done that. You have to know if they are actually leaving you ALONE ALREADY when you're on the phone then they are definitely up sto SOMETHING...

I tried to post this before- sorry if it's a repeat. My son use to pull his clothes out of his dresser EVERYDAY! I finally got smart and took the dresser out of his room. It's funny how you always know there's trouble when they're "quietly playing". That always spells trouble in my house.

That is so precious!

Why is it always when you kids are nice and quite, do they have to be getting into mischief! Why can't they just be quite for the sake of being quite! I guess it makes life interesting :)

ps I meant that comment above in a loving, not a snarky, way. I hope that was clear. I think you're a very funny lady, friend.

Heeeeeeheeeee. You can see the mingled fear and pride in their eyes. And my kids have done TOTALLY the same thing.

Oh! I didn't think you were being snarky SM. My lack of willpower is humerous even to myself. As you can see, I am reading comments even now. But I have been gone, mostly.

Yes! the last time I went searching, I found my youngest with a bag of Cheese puffs, nestled in a little corner, munching away. So absorbed was I, that she became absorbed in her own little adventure!
Still, could have been worse..at least it was clothes and not, say, toothpaste all over the bathroom or lipstick on the mirror...
I enjoyed the pictures..made me smile.

Heeheeeheee! Best laugh I've had in a while! My boys have been annoyingly LOUD lately...thanks for the reminder about why that's a good thing!
