Today I cleaned out all the Weekids toys. What a process, but man am I grateful that I accomplished it. All those baby/toddler toys have been weeded out and bagged up to pass down to someone with an actual baby or todder. I thought I would be sad, but so far I am just glad for the increased floorspace. Maybe there is hope for a living room with a coffee table again after all. One day.
I am also grateful that for once, when I went to find out what my too quiet kids were doing during this process, I was not met with destruction.
Instead I found these fierce pirates sailing the high seas:

That picture is too cute! You can tell that Clara thinks the world of Ben and he might just be enjoying her worship, for once... :)
That IS something to be thankful for! I am always SHOCKED when I find my kids quietly playing together instead of writing on my walls, cutting up their blinds with a scissors they found, tearing up thier books, or diving off my furniture. ;)
I have almost that same photo on my blog somewhere, though, the box was Pampers, I think. LOL.
PS: The other night our kids were TOO quiet, so Josh snuck into KayTar's room to check on them. They WERE playing nicely. As soon as he crept back out of the room, KayTar was screaming and banging on her door. That took care of the quiet! LOL.
Today is my day to clean out toys too! It's always such a good feeling.
Love the pirates!
